Saturn-Neptune Conjunction in Aries - Cosmic Reset

By stella, 17-11-2025

Mighty Saturn and Neptune will form a conjunction in the heavens in February 2026 at 0° Aries, the first degree of the zodiac, sometimes referred to as ‘the world axis’.

Timing

  • Saturn and Neptune came very close to each other in July 2025
  • February 2026 – Saturn and Neptune will meet up at 0° Aries.
  • 2026–27 – Lingering influence as both planets transit the early degrees of Aries.

This rare alignment (Saturn and Neptune meet roughly every 36 years) signifies a profound cosmic reset — a collective rebirth for humanity as we transition into a new generational cycle. The last Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Capricorn was in 1989-90 and coincided with the collapse of the Berlin Wall, an event that led to the reunification of East & West Germany; the dissolution of the USSR and the collapse of Communist rule in Eastern Europe. The same year there were student protests in Tiananmen Square in China calling for wide-ranging reforms, such as a free press, freedom of assembly, and an end to official corruption. This period also marked the beginning of the end of South African apartheid.

For those not old enough to remember these events, 1989-90 was a truly seminal time. I, for one never believed the Cold War would end during my lifetime. As a young woman, I visited communist East Berlin in 1985, passing through Checkpoint Charlie in the Berlin Wall. I was met with tight security; barbed wire; guns; drab buildings, goose-stepping soldiers and displays of military power. In November 1989, just four days before the Saturn-Neptune conjunction, that mighty Wall, symbol of oppression and division, was torn down overnight.

  • New Realities: If we believe under Saturn-Neptune energy that seemingly permanent and irreconcilable viewpoints, boundaries, divisions and institutions (Saturn) can be eroded and dissolved (Neptune), we might wonder: ‘What are our modern-day equivalents of the Berlin Wall, Chinese government oppression and South African apartheid? And how will our current reality be eroded or dissolved over the coming year?

  • Artificial Intelligence: Under the Saturn-Neptune energy, visions can be brought into tangible form. The current AI revolution, which translates imagination into instant images, words, and code, is an apt reflection of this archetype.

  • Water Management: As Neptune rules rivers and oceans, we could see new ways of tacking rising sea levels and waste in our oceans; water restrictions, and new systems of storing water or cleaning it up. During the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction in 1989, the UN established the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

  • Competing Beliefs:  Historically, Saturn–Neptune cycles highlight clashes between belief and reality, ideals and structures. Expect stark ideological divides — religion vs. atheism; left vs. right, faith vs. scepticism — a pattern already visible in today’s increasingly polarised world.

  • Identity Crisis: We may feel disoriented, both collectively and personally, as traditional ways and beliefs dissolve and new ideals take shape. Themes of disillusionment, scepticism, and loss of faith may surface, alongside a yearning for unity and compassion.

The Saturn–Neptune conjunction at 0° Aries represents both dissolution and renewal. Structures that no longer serve will dissolve like a dam bursting or a wall crumbling, yet from this release comes the possibility of fresh creation — a new collective myth aligned with Aries’ pioneering energy. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction challenges us to transform disillusionment into clarity, and ideals into reality.
