Jupiter's change of sign happens just once a year and on 9th June 2025, the largest planet in our solar system moved from air (Gemini) to water (Cancer). For the next 12 months, our collective focus will be on Cancerian issues such as belonging, receptivity, home, tribal and family matters. We can experience the archetype of the Great Mother in all her forms and a mostly welcome richness of emotion and feeling.

The Earth Mother or Great Mother is a cosmogonic figure, the eternally fruitful source of everything. She is simply "the Mother". All things come to her, return to her and are her. The totality of the cosmos is her body. She gives birth to everything from her womb and she nourishes all from her breasts. There is no essential change or individuation. Each separate being is a manifestation of her; all things share in her life through an eternal cycle of birth and rebirth. Encyclopaedia Britannia.

Cancer, ruled by the moon, is associated with home, family, roots, and emotional security. Jupiter, the planet of growth, abundance, and wisdom, is exalted in Cancer, meaning it functions particularly well here. This transit often marks a time of emotional healing, greater empathy, and the strengthening of bonds within the family and domestic sphere.

When Jupiter is in Cancer, we feel more protective, generous, and attuned to the needs of others. There’s often a strong desire to nurture or be nurtured, and personal growth can come through caring for others or creating a safe, comforting environment. Intuition is heightened, making the next twelve months a good time for inner work and developing emotional intelligence.

Jupiter in Cancer is likely to amplify global humanitarian concerns and spotlight famine crises driven by war and climate change in areas like Gaza and Afghanistan.

This transit can also favour matters related to real estate, home renovations, or beautifying the home. Spiritually, Jupiter in Cancer can bring profound insights tied to ancestral connections or emotional legacies. It encourages us to grow through sensitivity and emotional depth rather than through ambition, striving or logic.

Overall, Jupiter in Cancer is a warm, emotionally rich transit offering lasting emotional and spiritual rewards.
