Firstly, thank you for your patience – I never imagined so many of you would sign up before the website was even launched!

MERCURY RETROGRADE – CHAOS & INSIGHT The last three weeks of October have been dominated by the Mercury retrograde transit through Scorpio and Libra – computers crashing, phone lines down, shonky internet connections, trams running into cars and general mayhem.
Symbolically, the Mercury retrograde period is a time to examine the quality of our lives, rethinking old habit patterns and emotional responses. Those who refuse to go within usually find their daily life subject to disruption and hold-ups. So if your Internet connection has been playing up, your car keeps stalling or you’ve been treated to a few home truths, instead of getting mad, take some time out and reflect on what is really important.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCORPIO The Sun travels through water sign Scorpio from the 24 th October – 23 rd November this year and there will be a New Moon in Scorpio on the 10 th November. Scorpio is the eighth sign of the zodiac with keywords “I survive” and “I am intense”. Those born under the sign of the Scorpion are loyal, strong and courageous. They love exploring the mysteries of life – birth, death, sexuality, reincarnation and anything taboo. Scorpios have a reputation for being passionate, secretive and highly sexual and due to their emotional intensity, often have to deal with issues of trust and betrayal. Negatively, Scorpios can be possessive, jealous, vindictive, destructive and manipulative, particularly when hurt or betrayed. In medical astrology, Scorpio rules the organs of elimination and reproduction including the urinary tract, bowel, prostate gland and nasal bones. When Scorpios are out of balance they can suffer from haemorrhoids, constipation, urinary tract infections, menstrual and reproductive problems plus catarrh and sinus problems. The Scorpio colours are dark red, purple, dark green and black. Scorpio’s greatest lesson is to learn to let go on an emotional level, forgive and move on.
MARS RETROGRADE – THE SLOW BURN If you think the Mercury retrograde period has been challenging, you ain’t seen nothing yet… Every couple of years, Mars, planet of action, anger and drive turns retrograde and travels backwards through the zodiac for two-three months. Imagine a juggernaut going into reverse!
The cycle begins on the 15 th November in water sign Cancer and reaches its climax on Christmas Day as Mars opposes the Sun in the heavens. Mars is rather like a CEO, carrying out orders from the Sun. When these two giants clash we are forced to look at whether our actions and goals (Mars) are aligned with our true nature (Sun).
Common Manifestations of the Mars Retrograde Period
- External drive and energy changes direction.
- Daily progress is suddenly filled with effort.
- Projects are delayed or cancelled.
- Bad luck or fate appears to intervene.
- Feeling ill, exhausted, depressed or weak.
- Sudden loss of interest / focus on what might have been an important project or relationship only weeks earlier.
- Suppressed feelings of hostility come to the surface.
- Feeling psychologically depleted or completely liberated.
- Irrational action and enforced introspection
- Conflict in relationship
Those with birthdays between the 24 th June and the 6 th July or with planets in early to mid Cancer, Capricorn, Aries and Libra will be most affected.
NOVEMBER MOON CALENDAR Launch projects at the New Moon, bring them to completion in the period from just before the Full Moon to the Third Quarter phase and wind them down and reflect on developments in the week before the next New Moon.
